Description

MOLA has recently completed the first ever Hyatt Hotel in Ireland, developed by the Hodson Bay Group and trading under the specialised Hyatt Centric brand. Located just opposite St Patrick’s Cathedral in the historic Liberties area, “Hyatt Centric the Liberties” Dublin, like the five others in Europe, is located centrally to present to its customers an interesting setting and an immediate immersion into the life and culture of the city.

This 234 bedroom “lifestyle” hotel provides restaurants, bars, events and meeting room facilities at ground floor which engage with the street outside and a range of bedroom and suite accommodation on five floors overhead, all arranged around raised landscaped courtyards and a south facing rear garden. The ground level is occupied by ‘Front of House’ facilities with reception, lobby, bar and restaurant stretched along The Coombe facade creating a threshold composed of a series of glazed shopfronts, intersected with entrances to enable the interior to engage with and activate the street. The design of the brick and glass façade on the street creates a rhythm that typifies much of Dublin’s Georgian or Victorian street architecture and ensures that the Hotel sits comfortably in its immediate context.
