Description

In a central and strategic district of Milan, we faced the challenge of transforming a 1990s office building into 107 apartments and large communal areas.
To achieve this goal, we sought a radical rethink, integrating new buildings, open and closed loggias, and large terraces projecting outwards into the original structure.

The strong character of the green curtain on the façade reflects the changing seasons with its variations in tone and helps to create a strong city landmark, recognizable even from a great distance. The realization of these new volumes, largely planted as hanging gardens, not only revolutionizes a single building into an authentic three-dimensional forest, but our goal, through the involvement of city authorities and nearby commercial structures, is to convert the entire neighborhood into a green lung.
